Highlights/Explanation
Internal Training
Note 1.1 All new employees shall be given on-the-job training either respective section or department head upon employment with the company.

Training will be established based on the staff's job title/designation and the knowledge required for the staff to perform the work effectively.

Note 1.2 The section or department head shall review the training received by the employee on a half-year (six months) basis. These assessments shall be documented on the employee Training Needs (Attachment MA/QD28/001) by the respective section or department head.

Note 1.3 The section or department head is to record the training received by the employee onto the employee Training Record (Attachment MA/QD28/002) of which the employee (trainee), department head and trainer (for internal training) must sign on the respective columns of the document.

Note 1.4 The master copy of the employee Training Needs and Employee Training Records shall be filed and kept by the respective department head. copies of these documents are to be extended to the Human Resource Assistant for recording and updating purposes.

External Training
Note 2.1 External courses conducted by institutions, may be soured by the company to enhance the skills of the staff and this shall be brought to the attention of the section/department head by circulars received from the external institutions.

Note 2.2 The section/department head shall review the staff requiring the necessary training and make their recommendations by internal memo.

Note 2.3 These recommendations shall be channeled to the Managing Director for approval prior to enrollment.

Note 2.4

External training received by the staff be indicated and recorded on the Employee Training Records (Attachment MA/QD28/002) of which the staff and department head must sign on the respective column of the document.

Note 2.5 The master copy of the Employee Training Records shall be updated, filed and kept by the respective department head. Copy of this document is to be extended to the Human Resource Assistant for recording and updating purposes.
Post Training evaluation
Note 3.1

The section/department head shall conduct/review the effectiveness of the training (internal/external) received by the staff through the Post Training Evaluation (Attachment MA/QD28/003).

The Post Training Evaluation shall be conducted between 03 and 06 months from the time the staff attended the training (internal/external). This shall be determined by the department head.

Note 3.2

The section/department head through the Post Training Evaluation shall determine the following:

  1. Effectiveness of training received.
  2. Re-training of the staff.
  3. Review/plan other areas of training which would improve the staff's work/skills.
Note 3.3 The section/department head shall record the assessment on the Post Training Evaluation and have this signed upon completion.

Note 3.4 The master copy of the Post Training Evaluation shall be filed and kept by the respective department head. Copy of this document is to be extended to the Human Resources Assistant for updating and recording purposes.
