Bilateral Trade Between Taiwan and China

  

The Bureau of Foreign Trade has reported that from January to November 2007, bilateral trade between Taiwan and China reached US$92.68 billion, accounting for 22% of Taiwan”¦s total foreign trade, a 15.3% growth compared with the same period in 2006. Of this, Taiwan”¦s exports to China increased 16.5% to reach US$67.29 billion, comprising 30.1% of its total exports, while Taiwan”¦s imports from China rose 12.1% to US$25.39 billion, accounting for 12.8% of its total imports. This bilateral trade contributed to a trade surplus of US$41.89 billion, an increase of 19.4% over the same period in 2006.
