Taiwan’s IT Competitiveness Ranks Sixth in the World
Taiwan’s IT competitiveness ranks sixth in the world, and third in Asia after Japan and South Korea, according the “The Means to Compete – Benchmarking IT Industry Competitiveness” report issued by the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) on July 11, 2007. Sixty-four countries were covered in the report.

is the first report that the EIU compiled on IT industry competitiveness. Six
items of comparison were used: business environment, IT infrastructure, human
capital, legal environment, R&D environment, and support for IT industry
