Mainland Chinese Visit Hsinchu Science Park

        On April. 20, the Mainland Affairs Council began taking applications for tour groups from mainland China to visit the Hsinchu Science Park , and by May 3 a travel agency had already submitted an application for such a visit.

        MAC indicates that, to avoid disturbing companies operating in the parks, mainland Chinese tour groups will follow a set itinerary in visiting the park. Three stops in the park have been opened so far: Science Park Life Hub, Science Park Exploration Museum , and Jingsin Lake . A more diverse range of stops and itinerary choices will be offered to mainland tour groups in the future, stimulating regional travel and the development of related industries as well as deepening Chinese tourists’ understanding of Taiwan .
