Note: The figures for ¡§Peanut¡¨ imports are
represent the quantity of peanuts in shells. When the imports consist of shelled
peanuts, ground peanuts, crushed peanuts, or peanut oil, the quantity to be
imported should be converted to a ¡§peanut in shell¡¨ equivalent. before
calculating the quota. The conversion ratios for calculating ¡§peanut in
shell¡¨ equivalents are as follows: shelled peanuts (1.5 : 1), ground and
crushed peanuts (1.8 : 1), and peanut oil (3.8 : 1). The quota for mixed batches
will be calculated on the basis of a 1 : 1 ratio.
