IMPORT PROCEDURES & DOCUMENTATION

1. Customs EDI  entry system

Customs General office install EDI automation system since 1995, all shipment clear the customs only accept EDI entry from 1997.

Arrival declaration by Airlines, replace the manual system is  transferring the Cargo manifest through SITA via Tradevan to Customs office. All shipment under consolidation service, the receiving cargo agent forward the house manifest after shipment piece count by government warehouse or cargo terminal service at CKS airport.

After the customs broker or importer clearance electronic data entry received by customs; within 2 hours the sender will received the notice for the following status :-

1)    C1 - the shipment released without inspection, the importer or agent authorized to

       pick up the cargo from Cargo Terminal. (but the physical paper must keep

       2 years for customs review.

2.)   C2 - Customs release the shipment subject to document without inspection. the document

      present to customs office is required.

3.)   C3 - Customs release the shipment subject to document and inspection.

2. Informal entry (usually the informal entry are classified on C1 and C2)

Sample shipment or any shipment other than controlled item under US$10,000 from abroad, no import licenses is required. (For personal effects and non-commercial items of above-said value, import licenses is required.)

      

3. Formal entry

All shipments shall be cleared with import licenses. for formal entry all classified on

either C2 or C3.

For clearance of any import shipment 3 working days are needed.
C. O. D. SERVICE

We may accept the COD HAWB, and with 10% service charges due to serious currency difference in Taiwan market.
TRANSSHIPMENT

Any international transshipment will encounter vital delay. Do not include any international shipments in your consolidation shipments to Taipei.
IN-TRANSSHIPMENT TO CASHING

Bonded truck : NT$5/k with minimum of NT$300.

Charter truck : NT$9,000 for under 1800kgs.

Transfer documentation & handling : NT$300 per HAWB

Customs escort : NT$100 per HWB.
IMPORT
1.Charges collect (cc) fee:2% of CC weight and valuation charges with minimum of

NT$400 shall be collected from consignee.

2.Documents turnover fee: NT$400 per HWB shall be born by consignee.

3. EDI Customs Charges : NT$200.00 Per HAWB shall be born by consignee.
