Forwarder and Transport Operator Liabilities
The Forwarders and Non-Vessel-Operating Carriers (NVOCs) who
operate services by sea, air, road, rail or river are included in this category.
The risks and liabilities of intermodal operators, road hauliers, railway
operators, warehouse owners, owners of tank containers for carriage of bulk
liquids and powders, and operators of temperature-controlled equipment.
End to end of Standard risks

- Errors and omissions
liabilities, including those for delay and unauthorised delivery
- Third party
liabilities
- Customs liabilities
and fines for breaches of regulations relating to immigration, pollution or
safety at work.

- Liability for sudden
and accidental pollution, clean-up costs
- Unexpected quarantine

salvage guarantees and contributions

carriage costs in the event of your subcontractor becoming bankrupt

- a freight forwarder
operating as agent
- Non-Vessel-Operating
Carrier (NVOC)
- a trailer operator
- a tank operator or
container operator
- a road haulier
- a railway or stack
train operator
- an inland waterway
operator
- a parcel carrier
- an air carrier
- a warehouse or depot
operator
You may add the following
special risks to the standard cover:
- Loss of or damage to
owned or leased equipment, including marine war risks and strikes, riots and
terrorist risks.
- Ships' agency
liabilities
- Charterers' P&I
and damage to hull
- Customers' cargo (all
risks open cover)
- United States Federal
Maritime Commission bonds for NVOCs
