In order to send a house air waybill message to the U.S. Customs AMS system, a minimum amount of data must be present to allow for record creation. This is detailed below and will be made up from data passed from the Forwarder, Airline or derived from information provided by both parties.
House Air Waybill data must be in the following format:

Key:
Alpha = Alphabetic characters between A and Z.
Numeric = Numerals 0-9
Alpha/numeric = Mixed alpha and numeric characters. No specific order.
Mixed = Free format text. Alpha, numeric, hyphen, full stop or space.
(1) = AMS will accept 16 occurrences each terminated in a CRLF (carriage/return/line feed)
(2) = Entered only if air waybill pieces are greater than the boarded pieces.
